Street Art Dealer takes art out of the gallery and onto the streets, bringing a new and exciting dynamic to public art using QR Codes and GeoTagging on your mobile phone.
The project launches July 9th with an interactive exhibition in the streets of Bristol. To take part you need to register with Street Art Dealer and make sure you've got QR Code Reader software installed on your phone.
STREET ART DEALER
Street Art Dealer provides a platform for you to get information about art in the public domain by scanning QR Codes labelling artworks to learn about the work and artists, and even buy artworks via a mobile phone!
QR CODE TECHNOLOGY
QR Codes are unique visual patterns, similar to bar codes. When scanned with a mobile phone camera our QR Codes launch websites designed for mobile phones, providing information on the artwork the QR Code is linked to.
INTERACTIVE MAP
Street Art Dealer utilises Google Maps to log public sites geotagged with QR codes. The map will be an instrumental part of the launch event as participants hit the art trail and use their phones to scan QR Codes to interact with artwork.

We have a strict privacy policy and wont be handing out your details.
What Next?
If your making art; once you are registered you can apply for an artists profile allowing you to publish information about your work, create art trails and make work available for sale.
If your looking for art; you can find work through the site and then visit and interact with the public spaces listed.
Launch Event
After a soft launch at the Urban Art Showcase in London, we are proud to present a QR Code frenzy in the heart of Bristol. As part of our work for Media Sandbox we are showcasing QR Code technology, making some art and probably causing some havoc.
